Baking Hope

Livelihood Support Project

The Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial recently carried out a livelihood support initiative by donating an electric cake mixer to a low-income family whose primary source of income is small-scale home baking. As the family depends on making and selling cakes for their livelihood, limited equipment had made it challenging for them to work efficiently and expand their business. To help strengthen their income-generating efforts, the Club provided a new electric cake mixer with a three-year warranty, enabling them to increase production capacity and maintain consistent quality in their products.

This practical contribution will allow the family to prepare cakes more efficiently, save valuable time, and improve their earning potential. Through initiatives such as this, the Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial continues to empower vulnerable families by supporting small home-based businesses and helping them build a more stable and sustainable future.
