On 4th March 2026, the Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial supported a critical healthcare need by donating 50 sterile probe covers to the Colombo North Centre for Liver Diseases (CNCLD) – M. H. Omar Liver Care Facility. This donation was made in response to an urgent request from the medical unit, which had run out of these essential supplies, preventing doctors from carrying out ultrasound-guided liver ablation surgeries for patients in need of treatment.

Sterile probe covers are vital for maintaining infection control during such procedures and ensuring patient safety. Without them, the medical team would have been unable to proceed with critical interventions. By responding swiftly, the Rotary Club of Colombo Centennial enabled the resumption of these life-saving procedures, reaffirming its commitment to supporting healthcare institutions and improving patient outcomes.
